The Swedish padel brand 4on presents today its brand-new range of grip products. With a cream and a spray, the brand helps people whose hands sweat during their padel matches and offers a good alternative to magnesium carbonate. We tested them for you, and here is our opinion on these products, as practical as they are innovative.
For the cream, a small amount is enough to feel the grip effect, with a good hold on the racket. The sticky sensation is present without being too unpleasant to the touch, and your sweating problems will quickly disappear thanks to this cream. The only downside is its durability. Indeed, after around 45 minutes, the effect is no longer as striking as at the beginning and, like magnesium carbonate, you will need to reapply it during a break or a change of ends to maintain the same grip from the start to the end of the match.

As for the spray, it can be applied directly to the hands or the racket handle. Highly grippy, it provides a good hold on the racket, which no longer slips from the hand at all. Unlike the cream, the spray lasts longer and it will not be necessary to reapply it during the match, unless you sweat excessively. However, the feel is quite unusual, similar to glue, and may not appeal to everyone. For us, the very adhesive feel was not too bothersome and came off fairly easily by washing hands with warm water.

If sweaty hands are a problem for you, 4on products are a good alternative to magnesium carbonate, in summer and winter alike. Whether it is the cream or the spray, the grip properties are there and will allow you to perform while putting aside the problem of slippery hands. The products are available on our Esprit Padel Shop website and for testing directly at the club.
