Royal Padel padel rackets

Royal Padel padel rackets, the kings of padel are out

Royal Padel was founded in 1991 and is one of the very first padel brands developed in Spain, with the aim of making rackets for everyone and making padel accessible. Initially made of wood, rackets gradually evolved using other lighter and more durable materials such as rubber and fibreglass. From then on, the Spanish brand has never stopped innovating to create even lighter and higher-performing rackets. With several ranges and numerous products, Royal Padel has always wanted to follow its guiding principle: offering palas for all types of players and making padel accessible to everyone.

What are the characteristics of Royal Padel rackets?

Royal Padel padel rackets offer distinctive features you won’t find anywhere else. One example is the special polyethylene foam, a material used by the brand in some rackets in its range. This special material is a fairly soft foam that offers good elasticity and therefore comfort. It also provides a degree of rebound that other foams lack, making it a versatile foam. What’s more, it absorbs vibrations well, helping protect your joints, particularly your elbow, from injury.

Other technologies are also present on the rackets, including the Shock Absorption system, which helps reduce vibrations even further and makes a racket genuinely easy to play with and comfortable for your joints. In addition, several technologies are available to add texture to rackets and thus improve spin. Whether through sandblasting on racket faces or 3D printing, almost all rackets have it, allowing you to surprise your opponents in all circumstances.

Are Royal Padel rackets suitable for all levels?

With its experience and expertise, Royal Padel has always aimed to offer its customers the very best in padel. But, as mentioned above, the aim was to make padel accessible to everyone. The brand then expanded its range to benefit all its players. Starting with women, who, in addition to classic rackets, can choose lighter rackets, better suited to reduce strain on the joints, particularly the elbows. Beginners also have their own fibreglass rackets, which offer perfect forgiveness for beginners. Experienced players also have a wide selection of carbon rackets, including very rigid palas for power enthusiasts.

How do you choose your Royal Padel padel racket?

The racket is your main weapon in padel, and it is important to choose it carefully and select the racket best suited to your style and level of play. There are several criteria to consider in order to make the best choice.

Shape: power or control?

When you choose the shape of your racket, you also choose its main playing style. The diamond shape is geared towards explosive play, with the racket’s weight balanced towards the head. This helps with overhead shots such as smashes and viboras. Bear in mind, though, that diamond-shaped rackets are less manoeuvrable.

Faces: soft or rigid?

Another important criterion is the faces. They define the feel when striking the ball. Two different materials are used, but they can work very well together. The first is fibreglass, a fairly soft material considered the easiest to play with. This type of material is therefore recommended for beginner players because it is forgiving and often less expensive.

The other material is carbon, which is harder to control and more rigid. Recommended for experienced players who will be able to control its hardness and explosiveness, carbon rackets allow you to do more on the court. Carbon density can vary from 3K (less dense and therefore less rigid) to over 20K (harder and denser). This is a criterion to consider, as it affects the power as well as the responsiveness of your pala.

The foam: soft or rigid?

Foam, also called rubber, is what lies between the faces. Depending on its density, your feel when the ball is struck changes. If the foam is relatively soft, you will have more control but, above all, greater playing comfort when hitting the ball. For more power and responsiveness, Hard foam is preferable. However, be careful: the harder the foam, the more quickly injuries, especially to the elbow, can occur due to vibrations transmitted through the arm.
