Starvie padel rackets

Starvie: Spanish craftsmanship at the service of padel rackets

Starvie is a Spanish brand that has specialised in padel since the early 2000s. Growing steadily, it has carved out a place among the giants of world padel and gradually become one of the market’s most popular brands. Its strength? Spanish craftsmanship, which gives its rackets a quality regarded as among the best in the world. Its rackets come directly from manufacturing workshops in Guadalajara, Spain, keeping the supply chain as short as possible so you can benefit from Starvie’s expertise without delay.

What are the features of Starvie padel rackets?

Thanks to this craftsmanship, Starvie padel rackets are unique. The Spanish brand is also highly innovative, equipping its rackets with groundbreaking technologies. In the heart, Star Balance helps optimise the weight by centring it, while incorporating the brand logo for a more stylish racket. Clever. On the faces, premium rackets feature Full Plane Effect. Small 3D patterns help generate spin and improve the feel of your shots. Starvie also offers limited-edition rackets to help you express your style and intimidate your opponents.

Why choose Starvie padel rackets?

Professional players were quick to recognise this production quality and partner with a brand that has impressed in recent years. Several pros have agreed to make Starvie their official racket supplier, demonstrating the quality of its rackets. For these partnerships, the star-branded company has focused on rising young talents ready to take the next step and shake up the top of the rankings. They include Bea Gonzalez, born in 2001 and already firmly established in the world’s top 10. On the men’s side, Javier Garrido and Jesus Moya, both born in the 21st century, are the faces of Starvie. This is a brand with its sights on both the present and the future!

Are Starvie rackets suitable for all skill levels?

As well as using exceptionally high-quality materials, Starvie offers rackets for every type of player. Alongside rackets suited to your style of play (diamond-shaped for attacking players, round for players who favour control), the Spanish brand also diversifies its range to make it as broad as possible. Beginners can choose fibreglass rackets for maximum comfort and control when hitting the ball. For more experienced players, there are carbon rackets designed to deliver power and precision. With Starvie, every player can find the right racket!

How do you choose your Starvie racket?

Like all racket brands, and padel brands in general, Starvie has several ranges with models for different playing levels and styles. Choosing a racket is no small decision: it has a major influence on your game. So it’s important to understand the specifications before you decide.

The shape: teardrop, round or diamond?

The racket mould determines its shape, which has a major influence on how it plays. Round-shape rackets generally focus on control and manoeuvrability. With their relatively low balance, round rackets are recommended for right-side players who want the best possible control over the game. They are also suited to beginners, helping them avoid frustrating unforced errors when starting out.

By contrast, the diamond shape lets the racket unleash its power potential. Its head-heavy balance is ideal for hitting powerful smashes and viboras and scoring the winning points you’ve always dreamed of. Read our article on the best power rackets to learn more.  Bear in mind, though, that this type of racket can offer less control, making unforced errors more likely.

Between these two types of rackets lies the teardrop shape. Fairly well balanced, with the balance in the centre of the racket, this shape brings versatility to your game.

 The material: carbon or fibreglass?

The material used for the racket faces also plays a major role in how the ball feels when you hit it. Fibreglass, for example, is flexible and fairly forgiving, making it easier for beginners to control. More affordable, fibreglass rackets offer excellent value for money for anyone starting to play padel regularly.

Carbon, meanwhile, is a fairly rigid material that offers more response than fibreglass. Harder to handle and master, carbon can nevertheless be devastating. Be aware, however, of potential injuries such as tendinitis, particularly in the elbow. Because carbon is a fairly hard material, this kind of injury can develop quickly.

Foam: hard or soft?

With foam, it’s also a question of firmness. Also known as the core, this material sits between the racket faces and affects playing comfort. Soft foams are cushioned and fairly easy to play with. By contrast, Hard foams are firm and harder to master, but offer much greater explosive potential. It’s up to you to choose from all these possible combinations.

Store your rackets in bags sporting Starvie colours!

Beyond rackets, the Spanish brand also offers Starvie padel bags where you can store most of your gear, including clothing, Starvie padel accessories and, of course, your rackets. In colours matching the brand’s rackets, keep your kit coordinated wherever you go and impress your opponents with your unique style!
