Tecnifibre padel ball features
Tecnifibre is one of the best-known brands in racket sports. In tennis, it built a reputation as the number one brand for strings. Founded in France, the brand has become widely popular, going on to sponsor numerous champions such as Daniil Medvedev and Iga Swiatek. Now active in several other sports, including padel, Tecnifibre is drawing on that reputation and experience to develop ever more innovative products. In padel, the French company is also keen to forge partnerships, including with Benjamin Tison, one of the best French players in history.
The French brand is also one of the best brands for innovation. That goes for its padel balls as well as its Tecnifibre padel rackets. Thanks to these technologies, the brand has established itself in the French padel scene and then worldwide.
How do you choose your Tecnifibre padel ball?
Unlike some other major padel brands, Tecnifibre has chosen not to create numerous models, instead opting to simplify its range. Two types of balls are available. The Tecnifibre Team balls are the softer balls in the range. They are better suited to beginners, offering a lower, more controllable bounce. They are also slightly under-pressurised to improve the bounce and minimise avoidable mistakes when starting out.
By contrast, Tecnifibre Tour balls are firmer balls that are slightly more pressurised. The idea is to give you a better feel for the firmness of the balls and your shots, so this type of ball is ideal for powerful overhead shots such as smashes and viboras. Be aware, though, that this type of ball is better suited to experienced players: the bounce and feel on impact can sometimes be hard to control or even uncomfortable, leading to more errors.
