Power / explosiveness:

Explosiveness is defined here by the ball speed generated by the racket during powerful shots. The power rating determines how quickly the ball will come off your racket during smashes or viboras, for example.

Control:

This characteristic determines the racket's control, the level of mastery and precision the racket can offer. Control affects the accuracy of your shots. It is determined by the shape, but also by the weight distribution in the racket.

Forgiveness:

It is simply the size of the sweetspot. The sweetspot is the area of the racket where the response on ball impact will be best. It can be more or less large and located in different places depending on the racket.

Manoeuvrability:

Manoeuvrability is defined as how easy it is to move your racket around the court. The more manoeuvrable it is, the more responsive it will be to your movements and the more effective your shots will be, especially at the volée.

Spin:

Spin, or effect in French, is the ability to put rotation on the ball. The placement and size of the holes, as well as the type of surface, affect the quality of spin and how easily you can produce effects to surprise your opponents. The shape of the racket can also alter the amount of spin; more head-heavy rackets allow you to add more spin to your balls.

Comfort:

Here, playing comfort is characterised by how easy the racket is to play with. The more comfortable a racket is, the more it will absorb impact vibrations and make the feel of shots softer, at the expense of some power.
