After El Comparator, which you loved, our teams worked even harder to invent another way to help you choose your dream racket tailored to your level and playing style. We wanted to build upon the benefits of El Comparator with a way to preselect certain rackets based on your needs, narrowing down the more than 500 pala models on our site. 

Thus was born El Selector. A short questionnaire about your level, your habits, and your playing preferences that allows us to curate a selection of 5 to 25 rackets matching your criteria. The idea was to help all players, especially beginners who can easily feel lost given the huge number of options. After reviewing all the rackets in the preselection, you can then use El Comparator to refine your analysis and choose THE most suitable racket 

Why is it important to have a suitable racket? 

In padel, the racket is the essential piece of equipment and having an adapted pala is crucial. Adapted to your skill level first of all. Rackets suitable for experienced players are often stiffer, less maneuverable, and generally quite demanding to play with. In the hands of beginners, they are often not forgiving enough and can even cause injuries if misused. Conversely, if beginner rackets are used by experienced players, they will notice immediately and their potential won't be 100% unlocked.

Playing style must also be respected. Indeed, if a more defence-oriented player plays with a diamond racket, for example, they will have less maneuverability and ball control, 2 essential elements in their game. On the other hand, if an attacker plays with a round racket, they will tend to have less power in their arm, which can make them force their shots and even lead to injury. It is therefore crucial to have a racket adapted to your abilities and playing style.
