Drop Shot is a Spanish brand specialising in padel rackets, as well as accessories such as bags, clothing and overgrips...
But what really makes Drop Shot stand out is its technological innovation. The Spanish company has invested heavily in research and uses cutting-edge materials for its rackets. Its leading ambassador says it all: Juan Martin Diaz, an Argentinian player who held the number-one spot for more than 13 consecutive years… Not bad!
The Essential, Ambition, LCP and Be One ranges each have their own strengths. The first, Essential, is designed for beginners looking to improve. Ambition is for more experienced players looking to progress. LCP is a new range created by Drop Shot for accomplished players seeking performance. Finally, the Be one range represents the very best, with high-tech rackets for highly experienced players.
The DROP SHOT Essential range
Let’s start with the Essential range, which, as mentioned earlier, is aimed at beginners. It was designed to help players learn quickly. Perfect for anyone who doesn’t have a big budget for a padel racket.
DROP SHOT SAKURA 3.0
The Essential range includes the Sakura 3.0
With its teardrop shape (leaning towards a diamond) and weight of 370 grams, the Sakura 3.0 is a high-performance racket that strikes a good balance between power and precision.
Power hasn’t been overlooked, thanks to its Eva Soft foam, whose flexibility maximises impact. A fibreglass shell reinforces it all while maintaining control. Ideal for improving every aspect of your game.
The Cork Cushion Grip and Silicone Grip Channel anti-vibration system adds cork in and around the handle to eliminate as much vibration as possible. This provides good playing comfort and optimises control. Drop Shot often uses these technologies to make its rackets more comfortable. This racket is recommended for beginners seeking power.
DROP SHOT KIBO 2.0
The Kibo 2.0 is also designed for beginners. The main difference from its counterpart, the Sakura, is the foam.
The Kibo 2.0 uses Eva Full foam combined with Eva soft. Full Eva technology removes the racket’s tubular frame. The racket is then made entirely of Eva foam.
The Kibo 2.0 is therefore a very flexible racket with an enlarged sweetspot, helping to maximise control without losing power. The holes have been carefully designed and made smaller to optimise hitting power and durability.
The Drop Shot Kibo 2.0 racket also features Silicone Grip Channel to minimise vibrations.
This racket is ideal if you don’t want to spend too much but still want extra playing comfort thanks to Drop Shot’s technologies.
DROP SHOT CONQUEROR JR
Let’s finish the Essential range with the junior version of a Drop Shot favourite: the Conqueror 9.0 junior.
Based on legendary player Juan Martin Diaz’s racket, the Conqueror 9.0 junior is designed for young padel players.
Its design closely resembles the original, but the junior version is slightly wider, giving beginners better control.
Its teardrop shape makes it versatile, while its weight of 340 grams makes it very light.
The racket features Eva Soft foam, making it more comfortable and flexible. The frame also uses Eva full foam to dampen vibrations.
The Conqueror 9.0 junior is the least expensive racket in the Essential range and is recommended for players seeking flexibility, ease of use and playing comfort.
Beginners, too, can dream of playing with the junior version of one of the greatest padel players’ rackets of all time.
The DROP SHOT Ambition range
The Ambition range is aimed at skilled players who want maximum comfort while benefiting from Drop Shot’s advanced technologies. This range focuses on versatility and seeks the best balance between control and power. Perfect for advanced players looking to improve every aspect of their game.
DROP SHOT CRISTAL 2.0
The Cristal 2.0 is a Drop Shot racket focused on power. You can go for your most powerful bandejas with this 350-gram, diamond-shaped racket. Its weight and shape give the Cristal 2.0 a high balance and a lightweight feel for more hitting power.
The grip on the cristal 2.0 absorbs as much vibration as possible thanks to Cork layer and Silicone Grip technologies.
Its Eva soft foam is flexible and helps generate more power. The Cristal 2.0 is a technical racket, but Carbon 3000 makes it firmer to optimise control and improve durability.
The holes are designed to return the ball effectively without losing power. The faces of the frame have a rough texture to absorb impact and help generate spin.
Here, Drop Shot offers a demanding racket that, in the right hands, can bring any opponent to their knees with its power!
DROP SHOT TAIPAN
If control matters more to you than power, unlike with the Cristal 2.0, the Taipan is a good choice.
It features Eva Pro foam. Although softer than Eva Tech foam, Eva Pro is still fairly firm, which helps with control.
The use of Carbon 3000 and its teardrop shape enhance control without sacrificing elasticity. A pleasure to play with for those who like to place their shots precisely.
The anti-vibration system makes for comfortable play. Especially welcome for players who experience chronic pain after matches.
The Taipan is a good choice if you’re looking for a reliable racket to support your progress.
DROP SHOT EXPLORER 4.0
The Drop Shot Ambition range has another surprise in store with the Explorer 4.0.
It features Eva Pro foam combined with Carbon 3000, giving it control and flexibility. This racket is ideal if you’re looking for an excellent balance between control and power.
This Drop Shot racket stands out thanks to its design. The Explorer has a diamond shape, giving it a high balance for more hitting power.
The anti-vibration system, comprising Cork Cushion Grip and Silicone Grip Channel, is also included.
This product is recommended for intermediate and advanced players looking for quality and versatility.
The DROP SHOT LCP range
DROP SHOT OSAKA 1.0
With a name like that, this cutting-edge racket is sure to take you places. The Osaka 1.0 is all about balance and precision.
Its round shape and technologies make the Osaka 1.0 an exceptionally versatile racket designed for skilled players.
Its Eva Pro foam is firm, but combined with Cubicarbon 24k technology, the racket retains its elasticity. Cubicarbon 24k technology weaves 24,000 carbon monofilaments into a single strand. This cutting-edge technology gives the Osaka 1.0 quality and strength.
It belongs to LCP, the Drop Shot range dedicated to the technology of the same name. This cutting-edge technology is exclusive to Drop Shot. It combines polyester fibre with liquid-crystal polymer fibre. The technology gives the Osaka 1.0 good elasticity and increased durability.
The Osaka 1.0 features the Cork Crushion Grip anti-vibration system and Silicone Grip Channel. The system is enhanced by the Power Beam Heart. This heart helps minimise vibrations, improving playing comfort.
The Drop Shot Osaka 1.0 racket is a compact showcase of technology and precision, making it a great option for players looking to take their game to the next level and become a real pro!
The DROP SHOT Be ONE range
DROP SHOT CONQUEROR 9.0
And here is undoubtedly one of the best rackets Drop Shot has to offer… The Conqueror 9.0 is a little gem.
Quite simply, this racket features all of Drop Shot’s latest cutting-edge technologies.
But its legendary status also comes from the player behind it… Juan Martin Diaz
The Conqueror 9.0 was released after the player put it through extensive testing.
Here are some of Juan Martin Diaz’s achievements...
The Conqueror 9.0 features numerous technologies. First, with Eva tech foam, Juan Martin Diaz’s racket is firm. This foam’s advantage lies in its power and control. Bear in mind that this racket is intended for advanced and professional players. Eva foam is therefore firm and focused on power, but playing comfort is still good for a racket of this type.
Although this is a technical racket, the grip is designed to minimise vibrations. Drop Shot puts a small 2 mm cork insert in its padel rackets. This dampens vibrations for greater comfort.
Its frame is made of carbon fibre. Also used in aerospace, Textrem technology weaves 24,000 microfilaments into a single strand. This technology gives the Conqueror 9.0 greater flexibility and power.
But the Conqueror 9.0 has a counterpart: the Conqueror 9.0 soft.
DROP SHOT CONQUEROR 9.0 soft
Softer and more flexible than the original racket, here is the Conqueror 9.0 soft from Drop Shot.
Its flexibility doesn’t mean it’s short on technology. In fact, this racket still has plenty to offer on that front.
The foam used, Eva soft, gives the racket greater flexibility. Eva soft provides greater comfort and better vibration absorption.
The foam and design are the only things that differ between the Conqueror 9.0 soft and the Conqueror 9.0. Using this rubber inevitably has an effect on power, which is slightly reduced. However, the smart hole system and the carbon used for the frame are designed to boost power.
This racket therefore features textrem technology, which increases durability as well as playing comfort. The grip also has an anti-vibration system that further improves playing comfort.
Inspired by the Conqueror 9.0, the soft version is, through its technologies and design, better suited to female players.
DROP SHOT LEGEND 2.0
Also part of the Be One range, the Legend 2.0 padel racket from Drop Shot is sure to win you over.
The technologies used in this racket are similar to those found in the Conqueror 9.0 rackets. Its teardrop shape and enlarged oversize design, however, put the emphasis on control.
With its Eva Pro foam, the Legend 2.0 delivers powerful shots with stability, thanks in part to the Cork layers (an anti-vibration system in the handle).
The frame is reinforced with 24k carbon. This latest-generation carbon gives the racket power and control.
The textured frame further improves playing comfort and helps generate spin. With its technologies and design, the Legend 2.0 is a strong rival to the Conqueror 9.0.
Choose this racket over the Conqueror if you want to focus more on control and playing comfort.
DROP SHOT X-CELERATOR
And to round off the Be One range in style, here is the X-Celerator from Drop Shot.
Used by another Drop Shot ambassador, Lucas Campagnolo (38th in the WPT), the X-Celerator has been customised by the Brazilian player. Years of research have resulted in a high-end racket designed for professional players.
The X-Celerator’s frame is slightly enlarged, increasing the hitting area. Its teardrop shape makes it a versatile racket optimised for control.
Its foam, eva tech, is among the firmest on the market. Also used in the Conqueror 9.0, eva tech provides power and control but makes the racket and its shots feel firmer.
To counter this firmness, Drop Shot uses the Cork Layer system, which greatly reduces vibrations in the handle.
Its frame is made of carbon fibre, with 24,000 microfilaments in a single strand. This technique provides greater flexibility and more powerful shots.
Finally, raised grooves on its frame provide greater comfort and more precise shots.
