The collaboration between Babolat and Automobili Lamborghini captivated padel enthusiasts from the moment it was announced. Following the resounding success of the BL001 in 2024, the two brands are back with a new exclusive edition: the BL002. This luxury racket, produced in a limited series, embodies the perfect alliance between technological innovation and the iconic design of Italian supercars.
A much-anticipated collaboration for enthusiasts
One year after the launch of the BL001, Babolat and Lamborghini are renewing their partnership to offer padel players a remarkable new experience. The first collaboration had already made a lasting impression through its commercial and media success, demonstrating players' enthusiasm for equipment combining performance and prestige.
This new racket was developed within the Babolat Padel Studio, located near Barcelona, Spain, further strengthening the ties between the two brands in a leading hub of sporting innovation.
Two new racket models
The BL002 comes in two distinct versions:
- All black: an elegant and understated racket, reflecting the refinement of Lamborghini vehicles.
- Scandal green: a bold combination of green and black, reminiscent of the iconic colours of the bull brand.
These designs are directly inspired by the colours used on Lamborghini supercars, offering players a unique aesthetic on the court.
A V2 far more versatile than the V1
Whereas the BL001 was primarily designed for offensive players seeking maximum power, the BL002 has been crafted to offer greater versatility. Its so-called "isometric" shape and its 3K carbon surface allow for an optimal balance between power and precision, making it ideal for players on the right side of the court. Compared to the first, this new racket features a very specific hole pattern to improve striking precision and thus balance the racket as effectively as possible.
A unique racket on the court!
The isometric shape of the BL002, similar to a teardrop, offers a centred sweetspot, allowing players to benefit from a harmonious combination of power and control. This innovative design ensures performance, making this racket a true asset on the court.
Two new integrated technologies: P.O.D and TPS
The BL002 incorporates major technological advances to enhance the playing experience:
- P.O.D (Power On Demand): this technology combines a hybrid foam, with Koridion foam in the frame and Eva foam at the core of the racket, delivering optimal energy return.
- TPS (Thermoplastic Plate System): a thermoplastic plate applied to the surface of the racket, increasing impact resistance and providing better striking comfort.
A production run limited to 5,000 units
The BL002 is produced in a limited edition of only 5,000 units worldwide, reinforcing its exclusive character. Priced at 600 euros, this luxury racket is aimed at players and collectors in search of exceptional equipment.
