A new year for padel and a new collection from Siux! The Spanish padel specialist is back in 2023 with another wave of increasingly exciting products. Since its founding in 2012, the manufacturer has continued to impress us with its new creations and innovative approach. Its growing influence is reflected in increasingly prestigious partnerships. After the powerful Argentinian Franco Stupaczuk, the magician Sanyo Gutierrez joins the Siux team. An impressive line-up for 2023, which promises to be an explosive year for the brand. Siux Electra ST2 2023: thunder on the court!
We’re off to a strong start with a new version of Stupa’s racket, the Electra ST2. And Siux certainly hasn’t held back on the changes to this racket. Goodbye to 12k carbon and hello to 15k carbon, which gives the racket even greater stiffness and more explosive performance. With these stiffer faces, enjoy more power for your smashes and viboras: unleash the lightning within!
To balance out this tremendous power, Siux partnered with ShockOut. The padel vibration-damping specialist has fitted dampeners into the racket’s holes to make impacts gentler on your joints without sacrificing the racket’s original power.
Also with the aim of making the racket more versatile, a Soft Eva foam has been added between the faces to provide ball control and playing comfort. The racket is therefore easier to play with and more versatile than a power-focused racket. The mould also follows this approach, with a teardrop shape that allows the balance to be centred in the middle of the pala.
Here we have a fairly complete pala, quite aggressive on the outside but soft and comfortable on the inside to prevent injuries as much as possible and improve ball control. The Electra ST2 is undoubtedly one of the best rackets of 2023.
Siux Sanyo Cooper Edition: a racket worthy of a magician!
For its other star player and signing of the year, Siux has created another premium model, the Sanyo Cooper Edition, in tribute to the Argentinian player. Often regarded as a genius by padel fans around the world, Sanyo Gutiérrez is also a powerful player who can hit winners from anywhere on the court. That’s why Siux decided to make a racket with 18k carbon, making it one of the stiffest rackets on the market.
The foam is Black Eva with medium density, offering a good blend of attacking potential and ball control to keep the racket adaptable to any situation. The teardrop shape gives it a fairly central balance, making the racket a well-rounded option. A powerful and fairly stiff racket, it also features technology added by Siux to make it more accessible, including vibration dampeners already fitted in the racket thanks to its partnership with ShockOut.
Pegasus range: Soar towards victory!
Siux Pegasus 1k Limited Edition: softness in the service of performance
Other ranges and another racket style with the Pegasus, one of Siux's flagship ranges. The first racket presented is a pala made entirely of carbon with reinforced edges to withstand impacts against glass or mesh fencing. But it is the density of the faces that makes this racket a special edition. Indeed, with only 1,000 carbon microfilaments, it is the most flexible carbon on the market and will allow you to easily control your opponent's balls. However, it is still carbon, a material that is rigid by definition, and requires a certain mastery of the game to tame it.
In addition, other components are present in the racket to make it even more controllable. The Soft Eva foam between the two faces provides very good absorption of vibrations and impacts, making it very comfortable to play with. The racket's centred balance makes it complete and quite versatile.
Siux Pegasus Revolution 12k: Power with a soft heart
In its Pegasus range, Siux has also opted for power and explosive performance while retaining the soft feel on impact that defines the range. Its Soft Eva foam provides added comfort and control, making the racket fairly easy to play with and gentler on your joints. To offset this softness, the faces are made from 12k carbon, providing excellent energy return and responsiveness, particularly on the volée. This stiffness also delivers excellent power on smashes and high balls. The racket’s teardrop shape gives it a fairly central balance and makes it even more versatile. A new feature from Siux this year is a special spiral-shaped grip already fitted to the handle for a more secure hold.
The Spyder range: 2 rackets for 2 playing styles
Siux Spyder Revolution 2: Balanced power
For the Spyder range, the Spanish manufacturer has created two rackets with the same name but very different characteristics. The first is the Spyder Revolution 2, a powerful racket thanks to its diamond shape and head-heavy balance, ideal for unleashing powerful smashes and viboras. However, its other characteristics differ completely from those of a typical power racket, starting with the foam: Soft Eva, which adds control and welcome forgiveness to make the racket easier to play with. The faces use medium-density carbon (3k), allowing you either to hit the ball harder to accelerate it or to ease off for more control. This versatility makes the racket useful in every situation, provided you can handle its head-heavy weight distribution.
Siux Spyder Revolution 2 Control: Rigid control
On the other hand, we have a control-type racket with a round shape that has a handle-heavy balance, making the pala very manoeuvrable. In addition to this very forgiving shape, a Soft Eva foam is present to make the racket comfortable, both for the player and their joints. Ideal for players suffering from tennis elbow, for example. However, its 12k carbon faces are very stiff and provide significant responsiveness, especially at the volée. Thanks to this hardness, your returns will be much more precise, but beware: you will need some padel experience to master this stiffness.
Siux Cayman: for padel enthusiasts!
After these special rackets, whose characteristics are very rarely combined, we come to the Cayman, the ultimate control racket. Balanced in the centre of the face with its teardrop shape, this pala is quite comfortable thanks to its Eva Soft foam. The 3k carbon on the faces provides precision and forgiveness on shots. Note that the faces are rough. This sanded surface is very useful for putting spin on the balls and surprising your opponents.
Siux SX7: The perfect racket for intermediate players?
Moving down the range, we come to the Siux Sx7. Made mainly of fibreglass on the faces, the racket is quite manoeuvrable and very accessible, both in terms of technical ability and price. However, a carbon tube runs all around the racket to protect it from possible impacts against walls. With a low balance, you will be able to handle the racket easily and control all your opponents' shots with the Eva Soft foam between the racket's faces. Ideal for continuing to improve, it is available in 2 colours: purple and red.
Siux Android: improve with complete peace of mind
The last racket featured here is the Siux Android. Although quite similar to the SX7 described above, it has a racket with a teardrop shape and a more central balance. The foam is still Soft Eva, maintaining a soft feel on ball impact. The fibreglass faces make the racket lighter and improve ball control. Ideal for beginner to intermediate players, the Siux Android is available on our site at an affordable price.
