A new year for padel and a new collection for Siux! The Spanish padel specialist brand is back in 2023 with a new wave of ever more interesting products. Since its creation in 2012, the manufacturer has continued to impress us with its new creations and innovative side. Its dominance is becoming increasingly evident through ever more prestigious partnerships. After the powerful Argentinian Franco Stupaczuk, it is the magician Sanyo Gutierrez who joins the Siux team. Siux Electra ST2 2023: thunder on the court!
We start strong with the reissue of Stupa's racket, the Electra ST2. And the least we can say is that Siux has not held back on the changes to this racket. Goodbye 12k carbon and welcome 15k carbon, which adds even more hardness to the racket and increased explosiveness. With these new, stiffer faces, enjoy greater power for your smashes and viboras: awaken the thunder within you!
To counterbalance this enormous power, Siux did not hesitate to partner with ShockOut. The anti-vibration specialist in padel has therefore included anti-vibration dampeners in the racket's holes to make impacts softer on your joints, without losing the racket's original power.
Also with the aim of making the racket more versatile, a Soft Eva foam has been added between the faces to provide ball control and playing comfort. The racket is therefore easier to play with and more versatile than a power-focused racket. The mould also follows this approach, with a teardrop shape that allows the balance to be centred in the middle of the pala.
Here we have a fairly complete pala, quite aggressive on the outside but soft and comfortable on the inside to prevent injuries as much as possible and improve ball control. The Electra ST2 is undoubtedly one of the best rackets of 2023.
Siux Sanyo Cooper Edition: a racket worthy of a magician!
For its other star player and signing of the year, Siux has created another high-end model, the Sanyo Cooper Edition, in tribute to the Argentinian player. Often considered a genius by padel fans around the world, Sanyo Gutiérrez is nonetheless a powerful player, capable of producing winning shots from any position on the court. That is why Siux decided to produce an 18k carbon racket, making it one of the stiffest rackets on the market.
The foam is a Black Eva with medium density, offering great versatility between aggression and ball control, always with the aim of making the racket adaptable to every situation. The teardrop shape gives you a fairly centred balance, making the racket highly complete. A powerful and fairly stiff pala, Siux has added several technological features to make it more accessible, such as anti-vibration dampeners already integrated into the racket thanks to the partnership with ShockOut.
Pegasus range: Soar towards victory!
Siux Pegasus 1k Limited Edition: softness in the service of performance
Other ranges and another racket style with the Pegasus, one of Siux's flagship ranges. The first racket presented is a pala made entirely of carbon with reinforced edges to withstand impacts against glass or mesh fencing. But it is the density of the faces that makes this racket a special edition. Indeed, with only 1,000 carbon microfilaments, it is the most flexible carbon on the market and will allow you to easily control your opponent's balls. However, it is still carbon, a material that is rigid by definition, and requires a certain mastery of the game to tame it.
In addition, other components are present in the racket to make it even more controllable. The Soft Eva foam between the two faces provides very good absorption of vibrations and impacts, making it very comfortable to play with. The racket's centred balance makes it complete and quite versatile.
Siux Pegasus Revolution 12k: Power with a soft heart
In its Pegasus range, Siux has also chosen power and explosiveness while retaining the soft impact feel that characterises the range. With its Soft Eva foam, which provides added comfort and control, the racket will be fairly easy to play with and forgiving on your joints. To compensate for this softness, the faces are made from 12k carbon, providing excellent power return and responsiveness, especially at the volée. This stiffness also delivers very good power on smashes and high balls. The racket's teardrop shape provides a fairly centred balance and makes the racket even more versatile. A new Siux feature this year, a special spiral-shaped grip is already fitted on the handle for a better hold.
The Spyder range: 2 rackets for 2 playing styles
Siux Spyder Revolution 2: Balanced power
For the Spyder range, the Spanish manufacturer has created two palas with the same name but very different characteristics. The first is the Spyder Revolution 2, a powerful racket thanks to its diamond shape and head-heavy balance, ideal for hitting powerful smashes and viboras. However, its other characteristics differ completely from those of a powerful racket, starting with the foam: a Soft Eva that provides extra control and welcome forgiveness, making the pala easier to play with. The carbon used for the faces is medium density (3k) and allows you to hit the ball harder to accelerate it or softer for greater control. This versatility makes the racket useful in all circumstances if you can master its head weight.
Siux Spyder Revolution 2 Control: Rigid control
On the other hand, we have a control-type racket with a round shape that has a handle-heavy balance, making the pala very manoeuvrable. In addition to this very forgiving shape, a Soft Eva foam is present to make the racket comfortable, both for the player and their joints. Ideal for players suffering from tennis elbow, for example. However, its 12k carbon faces are very stiff and provide significant responsiveness, especially at the volée. Thanks to this hardness, your returns will be much more precise, but beware: you will need some padel experience to master this stiffness.
Siux Cayman: for padel enthusiasts!
After these special rackets, whose characteristics are very rarely combined, we come to the Cayman, the ultimate control racket. Balanced in the centre of the face with its teardrop shape, this pala is quite comfortable thanks to its Eva Soft foam. The 3k carbon on the faces provides precision and forgiveness on shots. Note that the faces are rough. This sanded surface is very useful for putting spin on the balls and surprising your opponents.
Siux SX7: The perfect racket for intermediate players?
Moving down the range, we come to the Siux Sx7. Made mainly of fibreglass on the faces, the racket is quite manoeuvrable and very accessible, both in terms of technical ability and price. However, a carbon tube runs all around the racket to protect it from possible impacts against walls. With a low balance, you will be able to handle the racket easily and control all your opponents' shots with the Eva Soft foam between the racket's faces. Ideal for continuing to improve, it is available in 2 colours: purple and red.
Siux Android: improve with complete peace of mind
The last racket presented here is the Siux Android. Quite similar to the SX7 described above, it is nevertheless a teardrop-shaped racket with a more centred balance. The foam is still a Soft Eva, to maintain a soft feel on ball impact. The fibreglass faces make the racket lighter and improve ball control.
