Features of Fila Padel Balls
Among all the products available in the world of Padel, balls are often overlooked, even though they are, of course, essential to the game. Drawing on its experience in tennis in particular, Fila set out to design Padel balls to expand its product line as much as possible and share its authentic expertise with Padel players. The Italian brand also didn’t hesitate to create Fila padel rackets and Fila padel bags to solidify its presence in the global padel market.
The Fila Padel ball line is unique in that it consists of only two models. To simplify things amid the hundreds of available options, Fila decided to offer just two types of balls: the Premium and the Premium Pro. One unique feature of the line is that the Italian company offers white Padel balls. The idea is to maintain a retro style and pay homage to the early days of tennis, when the balls used were pristine white.
How to Choose Your Padel Balls?
Although only two types of balls are available, there’s something for every Padel player, regardless of their skill level or playing style. In fact, beginners or players who prefer a defensive style can choose the Fila Premium, which are slightly less inflated and have softer felt. They offer more control and comfort during play and help reduce unforced errors, which can be frustrating for a beginner. The white balls are Premium balls, which will give you softer shots.
The Premium Pro balls, on the other hand, are stiffer and slightly more inflated, which increases their responsiveness off the glass or off the racket. While slightly less controllable, they still offer extra power, especially for powerful shots like smashes or viboras, for example. However, they may not be suitable for beginners because comfort—and especially control—are harder to manage.
