Of all the products in the world of padel, balls are often overlooked, even though they are, of course, essential to the game. Drawing on its experience in tennis in particular, Fila set out to create padel balls to expand its range as much as possible and give padel players the benefit of its authentic expertise. The Italian brand has also created Fila padel rackets and Fila padel bags to establish its presence in the global padel market. 

Fila’s padel ball range has just two models. To keep things simple amid the hundreds of options available, Fila offers only two types of balls. These are the Premium and Premium Pro. One distinctive feature of the range is that the Italian company offers white padel balls. The idea is to maintain a rétro style and pay tribute to the early days of tennis, when the balls used were spotless white. 

How do you choose your padel balls?

Although only two types of balls are available, every padel player can find something to suit them, whatever their level or playing style. Beginners and players who prefer to defend can choose the Fila Premium balls, which are slightly less pressurised and have a softer felt. They offer more control and playing comfort, helping players make fewer unforced errors, which can be frustrating for a beginner. The white balls are Premium balls and give you a softer feel on your shots. 

The Premium Pro balls, meanwhile, are firmer and slightly more pressurised, making them more responsive off the glass or the racket. They offer a little less control but deliver extra power, particularly for powerful shots such as smashes and viboras. They may not suit beginners, however, as comfort and, above all, control are harder to manage.
