The Rubber: Soft or Hard? 

The foam, also known as rubber, is the material between the faces and varies depending on your playing style. For greater control and, above all, playing comfort, use a soft foam. For greater stiffness and responsiveness, a hard foam is the right choice for you. Be careful, however, of the various injuries this type of foam can cause—particularly to the elbow—due to vibrations, which are more pronounced than with soft foam.
