2013–2015: Early success in padel

Marta Marrero began playing on the World Padel Tour in 2013 alongside Alejandra Salazar. After a period of adjustment, they made a name for themselves on the circuit. In 2015, although often overshadowed by Mapi and Majo Sánchez Alayeto, they began to show their potential.

Back with Alejandra in 2018, they finished the season as the second-ranked pair in the padel rankings, while winning more titles than any other pair that year.

2019–2020: Going from strength to strength with Marta Ortega and Paula Josemaría

In 2019, Marta Marrero teamed up with young prodigy Marta Ortega. Together, they dominated the circuit, winning seven titles and finishing the season top of the rankings. In 2020, Paula Josemaría became her new partner, forming a formidable pair.

2021–present: A break for motherhood

In 2021, Marta Marrero decided to take a break from her padel career to focus on motherhood. She planned to return to the court in 2024. She remains among the 10 most decorated female players, alongside Gemma Triay, Beatriz González, Delfina Brea and Claudia Fernandez.
