Royal Padel rackets—the kings of padel—are here
The Royal Padel brand was founded in 1991 and is one of the very first padel brands developed in Spain, with the goal of manufacturing rackets for everyone and making padel accessible. Initially made of wood, the rackets gradually evolved to incorporate other lighter and more durable materials such as rubber and fiberglass. Since then, the Spanish brand has continued to innovate to create even lighter and higher-performance rackets. With several product lines and a wide range of products, Royal Padel has always stayed true to its guiding principle: to offer rackets for all types of players and make Padel accessible to everyone.
What are the features of Royal Padel rackets?
Royal Padel rackets offer unique features found nowhere else. For example, the special polyethylene foam—a proprietary material used in certain rackets in the line—is a key component. This special foam is quite flexible, providing good elasticity and, consequently, a certain level of comfort. However, the foam also provides a certain level of power return that other foams lack, making it a very well-rounded material. Additionally, it effectively absorbs vibrations to protect your joints—especially your elbows—from injury.
Other technologies are also featured on the rackets, including the Shock Absorption system, which further reduces vibrations and makes the racket truly easy to play with and comfortable for your joints. Furthermore, several technologies are available to add texture to the rackets and thus improve spin. Whether it’s sandblasting on the racket faces or 3D printing, almost all rackets feature these designs, allowing you to surprise your opponents in any situation.
Are Royal Padel rackets suitable for players of all skill levels?
Drawing on its experience and expertise, Royal Padel has always sought to offer its customers the very best in padel. But, as mentioned above, the goal was to make padel accessible to everyone. The brand has therefore expanded its lineup to benefit all its players. Starting with women, who—in addition to classic rackets—can choose lighter models that are better suited to reducing joint strain, particularly on the elbows. Beginners also have their own fiberglass rackets, which offer the perfect level of forgiveness for those just starting out. Experienced players, too, have a fairly extensive selection of carbon rackets to choose from, including very stiff models for those seeking power.
How to Choose Your Royal Padel Padel Racket?
Your racket is your main weapon in Padel, so it’s important to choose wisely and select the racket best suited to your playing style and skill level. There are several criteria to consider when making the best choice.
Shape: Power or Control?
When you choose the shape of your racket, you’re also choosing its primary playing style. The diamond shape is more explosive, with the racket’s weight balanced toward the top. This enhances overhead shots like smashes or viboras, for example. Be careful, though—diamond-shaped rackets offer less maneuverability, so you’ll need to take that into account as well.
The faces: flexible or stiff?
Another important factor is the racket face. This is what determines the feel of your shots at the moment of impact. Two different materials are used, though they can certainly be combined. The first is fiberglass, a fairly flexible material considered the easiest to play with. We therefore recommend this type of material for beginners because it’s forgiving and often less expensive.
The other material is carbon, which is harder to control and stiffer. Recommended for experienced players who can manage its stiffness and explosiveness, carbon rackets allow you to do more on the court. Carbon density can range from 3k (less dense and therefore less stiff) to over 20k (stiffer and denser). This is an important factor to consider, as it affects both the power and responsiveness of your racket.
The foam: soft or stiff?
The foam, also known as the rubber, is the material between the faces. Depending on its density, your feel upon ball impact will change. If the foam is softer, you’ll have more control but, above all, greater comfort when hitting the ball. For more power and responsiveness, a hard foam is the better choice. However, be careful: the harder the foam, the more likely you are to suffer injuries—particularly to the elbow—due to the vibrations transmitted through your arm.
