Premier Padel Bordeaux 2025 : programme et infos à connaître - Esprit Padel Shop
Summary

After the resounding success of its first editions, Premier Padel Bordeaux returns in 2025 with a new format, a new venue and just as much passion on the courts.

The Premier Padel circuit continues to establish itself in Europe, and France stands out with two major events: Premier Padel Paris, of course, but also Bordeaux.

Since 2023, Premier Padel Bordeaux has established itself as a must-attend event in professional padel and the Premier Padel calendar. Now held at Patinoire Mériadeck in Bordeaux, the event attracts top-level players, passionate fans and major partners.

In this article, discover all the useful information about the 2025 programme, categories, ticketing, entertainment and the impact of this tournament on the French padel scene.

Looking back at Premier Padel Bordeaux 2024

The 2024 edition of the padel tournament Premier Padel Bordeaux was successfully held at Arkéa Arena in Floirac. For one week, spectators watched top-level matches, with several headline players making notable appearances.

The Spanish pair Javi Garrido / Mike Yanguas won the men's event, while Jessica Castelló and Aranza Osoro won the women's draw.

On-site entertainment, the quality of the facilities and public enthusiasm confirmed the importance of this French stop on the Premier Padel circuit. This success paved the way for the change of venue and expansion of the tournament in 2025.

A flagship event on the Premier Padel circuit

A P2 event in the heart of Nouvelle-Aquitaine

Included in the Premier Padel calendar, the Bordeaux tournament is classified as a P2 event. It therefore offers fewer points than a Major, but still attracts players from the world's top 30, who come to earn strategic points for their FIP ranking.

With Paris hosting a Major and Bordeaux a P2, France confirms its status as a welcoming land for international padel. This development also accompanies the growing interest in the European Padel Championship, organised in parallel by the FIP.

Patinoire Mériadeck: Bordeaux's new stage for padel

For the 2025 edition, the tournament leaves Arkéa Arena to move to Patinoire Mériadeck, in the heart of Bordeaux. Modern and flexible, this venue can welcome several thousand spectators in optimal conditions.

The centre court is showcased with stands positioned close by, which will help strengthen the fully immersive atmosphere for fans and players alike.

The 2025 tournament programme

Dates and format

The 2025 edition, a flagship event on the 2025 padel tournament calendar,  takes place from 28 June to 6 July 2025, with two days of qualifying followed by the main draw.

  • 28 and 29 June : pre-qualifying rounds
  • From 30 June to 6 July: main draw, with the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final

Matches are also played in the evening from the round of 16 onwards, with special sessions featuring DJ sets and partner activities.

Players and points at stake

The tournament features a men's draw and a women's draw, with the best pairs of the moment. Although the field is slightly less strong than at the Majors, some international headline players such as Gemma Triay or Paula Josemaría - World Padel Championship level - could be present in Bordeaux depending on the official calendar.

Points earned count towards the FIP ranking and contribute to qualification for the Premier Padel Finals.
