What makes Babolat Viper padel rackets distinctive?

Of the different racket ranges Babolat offers, the Viper is undoubtedly the most high-end, with rackets designed for the most experienced players. Like all Babolat ranges, the Viper comes in three different models: the Air, the Counter and the Technical. Unlike the Veron and Vertuo ranges, the Viper is Babolat's premium range. All three models have full carbon faces and are ideal for experienced players above level 7. For example, the carbon density in the Air Viper can reach 16k (16,000 individual carbon filaments), making it quite stiff and requiring considerable skill to control. By contrast, the Counter Viper has just 3k carbon, which is much less stiff and far more forgiving.

There are many padel rackets on the market, and it can be hard to find your way around and choose a racket that suits your needs. With the Viper range, the picture is fairly simple: these are fairly premium rackets that are demanding and quite difficult to handle. But once you master them, you can really unlock your potential! For lower-level players, we recommend more accessible rackets such as the Vertuo, if you want to stick with Babolat. Are Babolat Viper rackets the right choice for women or children?

As mentioned above, the Viper rackets are quite difficult to master. For children, they are out of the question: Babolat makes excellent specialist rackets such as the Viper Junior, with a suitable weight and size. For women, they are not necessarily the first choice, but they are an option. You will need to be experienced enough to handle the carbon densities of the Viper rackets. However, the Air Viper is still a fairly light racket (between 355 and 365g) and could suit women well.
