Adidas and padel: an assertive presence
The Adidas brand, founded in 1949 in Germany, has extended its expertise from the sporting world into padel in recent years, offering not only rackets, but also shoes, clothing, and accessories tailored to this booming discipline. Thanks to partnerships with iconic players of professional padel, Adidas has quickly established itself as a brand of trust and innovation.
Player collaborations: high-level partnerships
At the heart of Adidas's padel strategy lies its collaboration with Alejandro Galán, one of the world's best players. World No. 1 over several seasons on the World Padel Tour and now paired with Federico Chingotto, Galán is both a technical and creative ambassador for the brand. Adidas works closely with him to develop tailored technologies, notably the Multiweight system, which allows the racket's balance to be customised according to playing style (more power- or control-orientated).
Among the other figures supported by the brand, Marta Ortega represents the women's line of Adidas Padel products, with an approach closely tuned to comfort, lightness, and technical aesthetics.
Style, image, and iconic technologies
Visually, Adidas builds a strong identity around clean circuits, sharp lines, and technical textures. The example of the Adidas Metalbone 09, designed in collaboration with the famous padel influencer Delantero09, illustrates this drive for innovation: Octagonal Structure frame technology for extreme stiffness, Soft Performance foam, and high-end materials to combine comfort, control, and explosiveness on the ball.
The Multiweight technology allows the weight of the racket to be adjusted precisely (top, centre, sides), offering the player the ability to customise their swing according to their needs: prioritising power or balance depending on their style of play.
The Cross It Team Light 3.4 racket, signature model of Marta Ortega, embodies a softer and more control-orientated approach: it stands out thanks to its round shape, low balance (345‑360 g), soft foam that absorbs vibrations well, and a textured surface to add spin to the ball (spin blade). It is designed for advanced players who prioritise precision and comfort over raw power.
Reputation on the padel circuit
Adidas enjoys a solid reputation in the world of padel, thanks to a two-pronged approach: high-level professional play & development for amateur players. In Spain, the Adidas Padel Tour, a growing circuit for amateurs, brought together 8,800 players in 2024 across 33 tournaments in five countries, with total prize money of €168,000—proof of the desire to establish the brand long-term on the court, beyond professional stars.
In the professional world, its partnerships with champions like Galán and Ortega legitimise the brand among players and observers alike. As a sponsor of the very best, Adidas influences the technical and visual standards of the discipline.
The Adidas padel brand identity
Adidas has successfully crafted a consistent identity in padel: "performance" but also sustainability. The brand introduced a Greenpadel range, using recycled and biodegradable materials (flax, natural fibres), challenging the traditional model of sporting goods production.
In terms of style, Adidas focuses on a minimalist and modern design, functional lines, and a premium image, notably with the Metalbone and Adipower ranges, which embody power, spin, and performance.
The brand is renowned for its technological approach (Multiweight, Spin Blade, Octagonal Structure, etc.) as well as for an inclusive philosophy: offering models for all levels, encouraging amateur play, and moving towards more sustainable products.
