Summary

Padel returns to the French capital with the Alpine Paris Major Premier Padel 2026!

One of the most prestigious events on the international calendar, from 6 to 13 September 2026. Held at the legendary Roland-Garros Stadium, this Major-category tournament brings together the world’s best male and female players in an exceptional frame each year.

For its fifth consecutive edition at Roland-Garros, the Alpine Paris Major confirms one thing above all: padel continues to play an ever-greater role in French sport. Porte d’Auteuil becomes a meeting place for circuit stars, France’s best players and thousands of enthusiasts attending one of the year’s biggest padel events.

An elite tournament at the heart of Roland-Garros

The Alpine Paris Major Premier Padel is one of four Major-category tournaments on the Premier Padel circuit, alongside the other major international events.
At stake for the winners: 2,000 FIP ranking points. So every match counts when you’re competing for a place among the world’s best!

As has been the case since the Paris tournament began, matches take place in the legendary frame of Roland-Garros Stadium, with a centre padel court installed on Court Philippe-Chatrier. For several days, this iconic French tennis venue becomes a true temple of padel.

The festivities began on Sunday 6 September with the launch of the event and the qualifying rounds, while the main draw runs from Monday 7 to Sunday 13 September.

The French players will be there

The 2026 edition once again gives French players a prominent place.
Several French pairs have received wild cards granting them direct entry into the main draw.

In the men’s draw, Dylan Guichard / Clément Geens, Timéo Fonteny / Nacho Moragues Molto and Yoan Boronad / Jérémy Robert are among those who received wild cards.

In the women’s draw, Louise Bahurel / Ivet Val Lopez and Carla Touly / Xenia Clasca Vidiella have also secured places in the main draw.

In the women’s draw, Alix Collombon, partnered with Ksenia Sharifova, is also among France’s leading hopes and will face the Spanish pair Marta Arellano and Marina Lobo in the first tour.

Plenty to keep fans on the edge of their seats!

Thomas Leygue is already making history

The 2026 edition began with a memorable moment for French padel.

Partnered with Spain’s Jesús Moya, Thomas Leygue won his first qualifying match against Ferran Insa Sotillo and Miguel Lamperti, 6-1, 6-3.

For the Frenchman, this return to Roland-Garros was particularly meaningful after a long absence caused by a serious Achilles tendon injury.

The world’s stars arrive in Paris

As every year, the Alpine Paris Major brings together an impressive line-up of the world’s padel elite.

In the men’s draw, spectators can see some of the biggest names in world padel, including Arturo Coello, Agustín Tapia, Alejandro Galán, Federico Chingotto, as well as the other top-ranked pairs on the international circuit.

In the women’s draw, the circuit’s top players will also be there, including Gemma Triay, Delfi Brea, Ariana Sánchez, Paula Josemaría, alongside a new generation gradually shaking up the world rankings.

The 2025 edition was notably marked by victory for Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia in the men’s draw, while Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea won the women’s draw.

A crucial tournament for the world rankings

The Alpine Paris Major is more than a spectacular event: it is also a crucial stop for players competing for positions in the world rankings.

Like all Premier Padel Major tournaments, the Paris event awards 2,000 FIP points to the winners. Those points can have a major impact on the world rankings and the race for the Premier Padel Finals.

At this level of competition, every match can have a significant impact on the rest of the season!

A week of padel… and a great show too!

The Alpine Paris Major is more than a series of top-level matches. The event offers a true padel experience, with entertainment, taster sessions and various spaces where visitors can soak up the tournament atmosphere.

An event backed by the FFT, FIP and Premier Padel, featuring 26 official tournaments across 18 countries.
It is organised by the French Tennis Federation in collaboration with Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), under the governance of the International Padel Federation (FIP).

With around 30 tournaments held worldwide and four Major-category events, Premier Padel now represents the pinnacle of professional competition.

The Padel Festival kicks off the festivities!

Even before the main draw began, Roland-Garros hosted the Padel Festival on Sunday 6 September to kick off this major week of competition.

This day was designed to make the tournament accessible to an even wider audience. Spectators can watch the qualifying rounds while enjoying entertainment, taster sessions and a range of padel activities. Just like padel itself, it’s an occasion for the whole family!

The aim is clear: introduce padel to as many people as possible and use the Alpine Paris Major to celebrate the sport’s growth in France.

Beyond the top-level matches, the Alpine Paris Major offers a true experience combining sport and entertainment.

Spectators can enjoy:

The “Dream Entrance” initiative

The 2026 edition also brings back the “Dream Entrance” initiative, giving young club members the chance to experience the final rounds up close with the champions.
On the final weekend, selected children can accompany the players onto the court, take part in the coin toss and capture the moment with a photo at the net.

In total, 24 children from 12 clubs are set to enjoy this special experience during the semi-finals and finals.
A wonderful initiative bringing young people closer to the world’s best players… and perhaps inspiring a few future champions!
