The Speed Range: bring speed into your game.
New arrivals this year, the Speed models are the brand's premium range. With several versions of the racket to suit the widest audience, Head makes a bold move to offer a comprehensive range with cutting-edge technologies that rival other brands on the market.
Head Speed Pro X: Maximum power!
We start with the most powerful racket in the range: the Speed Pro X. Teardrop shaped, the Speed Pro X has a balance rather in the centre of the racket, allowing it to be quite manoeuvrable. But make no mistake, it really is a very powerful racket we are talking about here. With its 12k carbon faces, the pala is rigid, which gives it very good energy return and increased power.
It also features a hard foam, which amplifies this powerful aspect. But beware, all these characteristics that increase the racket's power make it unforgiving and quite tricky to play with when you are not used to it. The racket is also available in a collector's box set.
Head Speed Pro: Explosive in all circumstances
Little sister of the Speed Pro X, the Speed Pro is also a powerful racket but still features more control characteristics. Indeed, its frame is made of graphene, a blend of fibreglass and carbon unique to Head. It therefore provides more control and comfort than carbon, while reducing the racket's power. Beware, power is not overlooked, with the Power FOAM between the faces adding further rigidity to the whole package.
Head Speed Motion and Speed Elite: the rackets to progress with
The other 2 rackets in the range are simply easier to play with because the carbon density in the graphene on the faces is reduced. More control therefore, to avoid unforced errors, which are quite common when starting to play padel. The Speed Elite is the one with the least carbon and will be better suited to beginners, while the Motion will suit intermediate players.
The shape remains teardrop and the foam is still fairly rigid to guarantee a bit of power and precision. All in a sleek, effective new colourway.
The Zephyr range: all about lightness
Another range, and this time we remain on familiar ground with the Zephyr range, which has been renewed this year. Known particularly for its light weight compared to more traditional rackets, they return this year with new technologies and brand new colourways.
Head Zephyr Pro: Balanced and comfortable
The Zephyr Pro is the most powerful racket in the Zephyr range despite its rather defensive attributes. Its teardrop shape allows the racket to be balanced in the middle of the face to be as versatile as possible. Graphene is featured on the faces, ensuring a blend of control and power that can suit intermediate players very well.
Unlike the Speed, the foam used is a Comfort FOAM, fairly soft, which absorbs the impact of the balls and makes shots much softer and more comfortable. The weight, meanwhile, is classic (between 360 and 375 grams) and provides enough power in the arm for smashes. In the end, you get a rather complete racket.
Head Zephyr: lightness delivering comfort
The Zephyr is considered the little sister of the Zephyr Pro. With more or less the same characteristics, it is a fairly balanced racket with a leaning towards control. With its teardrop shape, its soft foam and its graphene faces, it offers a fairly complete profile. Its real special feature lies in its weight. 10 grams lighter than the Zephyr Pro, you can find weights between 350 and 360 grams, ideal for starting padel without injury.
Head Zephyr UL: Light, ultra light even
We round off this range with the junior model, the Zephyr UL. Same approach as the others: identical characteristics, different weight. Still featuring graphene and a soft foam for comfort, the pala also has a teardrop shape to provide maximum balance. In terms of weight, it is even lighter: the Zephyr UL (for UltraLight) weighs between 340 and 350 grams. We therefore recommend this racket to teenagers or women looking for lightness in their racket.
Flash Range: start with complete peace of mind
This range, also retained from last year, is the range reserved for beginners. Start smoothly and hassle-free with the Flash!
Head Flash Pro: Start with a bit of power.
Despite the fact that the Flash Pro is designed for beginners, it still features certain characteristics that give it an explosive feel. With its teardrop shape, it offers an intermediate balance, ideal for balancing attack and defence. Innegra technology, featured on the faces, allows combining several layers of fibreglass with a carbon layer to increase the strength and power of the fibreglass. The rigid Power FOAM increases the power of the racket, making it a balanced racket for beginners.
Head Flash: balance right from the start
On the other hand, the Flash is softer, with its fibreglass faces, ensuring control and comfort on impact, which is very useful for beginners. With a teardrop shape, it still maintains an intermediate balance and, like the Pro, a rigid foam ensures more power and precision. Available in 2 different colourways: an explosive red and a more understated grey and gold.
