Starvie Collection: the Spanish brand still has plenty to offer!

With the many emerging padel brands offering increasingly high-performance equipment, Starvie decided to redesign 3 rackets in its collection, giving the premium range a fresh new look. Otherwise, everything remains unchanged, with a 2021 collection that has already proven itself through quality rackets designed for all playing styles. A look back at a lesser-known but highly effective brand.

It is also worth noting that all Starvie rackets are made in Spain, at the Azuqueca de Henares workshop, not far from Madrid. This local production preserves the brand's historic expertise by maintaining a close link between products and customers.

 

The reissued rackets for 2022: the premium range

Starvie Astrum Eris: Bea Gonzalez's racket!

Young padel star Bea Gonzalez has a new racket this year: the Astrum Eris, one of the rackets redesigned by Starvie for this season. With a new 3K carbon face over a layer of fibreglass, this pala is designed to be manoeuvrable and offers maximum control, just like Bea's playing style.

Starvie Raptor Evolution: aggression with control

Starvie strives to offer rackets for all types of players and playing styles. Unlike the Astrum, the Raptor has a more aggressive and powerful side thanks to its Full Plane Effect surface, which also enhances spin. Despite its clearly more offensive character, it still retains a round shape to ensure the control and manoeuvrability required to make this pala highly versatile.

Starvie Metheora Warrior: An almost perfect balance

Between the two previous rackets is the Metheora Warrior, a balanced racket which, like the other two, features a round shape and 3K carbon on the faces. But unlike the Astrum, this pala is heavier to provide more bite when finishing points. Used by Mati Diaz, a regular at major WPT tournaments, it offers maximum control and precision without sacrificing the ability to attack when needed.

Starvie Basalto Osiris: Balanced in all circumstances

To open this range, let us introduce the Basalto Osiris, a little gem of balance. Thanks to its teardrop shape and soft EVA foam, the racket is very soft and pleasant on ball impact, while the weight positioned in the middle/upper part of the racket adds the right amount of power. The pala is also made of Carbon and Basalt, hence its name, making the racket far more durable over time while adding playing comfort.

Starvie Triton and Triton Pro: the explosive twins

Different rackets, different features, and this time the focus is on power. The classic Triton, made from carbon fibres, has a teardrop shape and offers a rather interesting balance with Star Balance technology, which centres the racket's weight thanks to the central star, the brand's logo. Eva Soft foam helps temper the power by providing a much more comfortable ball output. Its sister, the Triton Pro, is almost exclusively focused on power. The main difference is the foam, which changes from Soft Eva to Hard Eva to ensure even more explosiveness when finishing points. However, experience will be needed to master a racket that can prove devastating.

Starvie Dronos Galaxy: making padel easier

The last racket in this range, the Dronos Galaxy is certainly the easiest to handle. With its carbon frame blended with aluminium, its durability is increased, as is the racket's rigidity, for greater precision. Fairly lightweight, it will allow everyone, men and women alike, to use it and get the best performance from it. Full Plane Effect technology also adds 3D textures to enhance spin and surprise your opponents as much as possible.

Star range: aim for the stars 

Starvie Aquila Space and Aquila Space Pro: Accessibility and control

Like the Triton, the Aquila comes in 2 models to best suit your playing style: the Aquila and the Aquila Pro. With its teardrop shape, the classic Aquila allows you to control your opponent's balls as much as possible. Slightly more accessible than the Triton, it is forgiving enough for players looking to improve with confidence. Its Soft Eva foam helps in this respect, providing excellent precision. For players looking to add a little more punch to their shots, the Aquila Pro offers the same features as its sister, with the only change being denser and therefore harder foam. To finish points with more force, you can opt for the Pro.

Starvie Titania Kepler and Titania Kepler Pro: Manoeuvrability above all

In Starvie's mid-range, the Spanish brand offers a racket focused on control and manoeuvrability, also available in a Pro version for a little more power. The round shape and Soft Eva foam help limit vibrations, and therefore elbow injuries, while maximising ball control and precision. Lightweight, it allows everyone to use it in the best conditions. The Pro version features slightly denser foam to provide an extra boost of power on shots.

Starvie Spika: when carbon comes to beginners

This range starts with a racket unlike any other: the Spika. The standout feature of this pala is that the frame and faces are made from carbon fibre to provide a certain rigidity, which balances the control offered by the round shape and Soft Eva foam. Rare for a racket in this range, carbon is more difficult to handle than fibreglass, especially for beginners. You will therefore need a minimum level of experience to master this racket, but it will reward you if used correctly.

Starvie Arcadia: get off to a great start

Conversely, the Arcadia is perfectly suited to beginners, with its fibreglass faces that guarantee total control over the balls. Playing comfort is also ensured thanks to the low-density foam and its light weight of between 350 and 360 grams. Like the other palas in the range, the Arcadia has a round shape to ensure the forgiveness and manoeuvrability needed for beginner rackets.
