Following on from beginner rackets, here is the collection of rackets for intermediate players. Do you play once or twice a week and want to buy a racket that will help you improve? You've come to the right place. Rackets for intermediate players cost between €100 and €150 and are considered mid-range rackets.
The biggest brands available at Esprit Padel Shop
Among rackets for intermediate players, discover the biggest brands, whether specialised in padel or not, such as Babolat, Bullpadel, Nox, as well as Head and DropShot. Combining expertise and cutting-edge technologies, these manufacturers ensure the quality and compliance of their rackets.
Why choose an intermediate-level racket?
Having a racket that matches your playing style and level is important, which is why we recommend finding out more on our blog or by reading this type of collection-specific text. Having a racket that matches your playing level helps players avoid becoming frustrated by playing with a "high-end" racket they cannot master, or by not being able to unleash their full potential with a racket that is not technical enough for them. Moreover, the better the rackets, the more expensive they are; it would be a shame to spend more money on a racket that is not suited to your level.

How do you choose your intermediate racket?
As with any racket, it is essential to look at all the features in order to select the racket best suited to your game.
Shape: aggressive or all about control?
When choosing a racket, its shape is important because it defines its playing characteristics. For beginner rackets, we have seen that round shapes and teardrop shapes were the most popular because they provided welcome control and precision for those starting to play. This helps avoid mistakes and early frustration. In the higher categories, there are increasingly more diamond-shaped rackets, considered more powerful and explosive. Indeed, the more players play and master their rackets and the fundamentals of the game, the more they can afford to sacrifice control in favour of power.
Faces: fibreglass or carbon?
The faces of rackets are also a part not to be overlooked, as they make the first contact with the ball on a return. This return can behave differently depending on the material used to manufacture the faces. Fibreglass is the most controllable and comfortable material because it is more flexible. Carbon, besides being a more expensive material, is more rigid and more difficult to master.
In most cases, a racket designed for intermediate players is often made of fibreglass, both for cost reasons and for ball control. However, some palas in this collection are made of carbon, so be sure to check the product sheets to find the racket best suited to your style.
Foam: soft or hard?
Foam, also known as rubber, is the material found between the 2 faces and can also change the racket's balance. Different types of foam are available: Soft, which is flexible and supple and promotes precision and comfort, and Hard, which is more rigid, less forgiving and promotes hitting power. These 2 types of foam can be found in intermediate rackets, although soft foam is recommended to provide control, especially for diamond-shaped rackets, for example.
