What are the special features of Babolat Viper padel rackets?

Now let's look at Babolat rackets and more specifically at one of its ranges, the Viper. Among the different types of rackets offered by Babolat, the Viper is undoubtedly the most high-end, offering rackets for the most experienced players. Like all other Babolat ranges, the Viper is available in 3 different models: the Air, the Counter, and the Technical. With different characteristics and different shapes, this variety allows every player to find a suitable racket, whatever their playing style. 

The Viper, unlike the other Veron and Vertuo ranges, is the premium range from Babolat. All 3 models feature full carbon faces and are ideal for experienced players above level 7. Quite tricky to manage at first, carbon comes nevertheless in different densities depending on the model. For instance, in the Air Viper models, carbon density can reach up to 16k (16,000 carbon mono-filaments), which is quite stiff and requires good technique to control. On the other hand, the Counter Viper only features 3k carbon, much softer and far more forgiving. 

Are Babolat Viper padel rackets suitable for all levels? 

Many padel rackets are available on the market and it is sometimes hard to navigate and find a racket suited to your needs. For the Viper models, the verdict is simple: these are rather premium rackets, quite demanding and somewhat difficult to handle. However, once mastered, they will unleash your full potential! For lower levels, we would therefore recommend more accessible rackets such as the Vertuo models, to stay with Babolat. Are Babolat Viper rackets the right choice for women or children?

As mentioned above, the Viper models are quite difficult to master. For children, it's out of the question; Babolat makes great specialised rackets like the Viper Junior, with adapted weight and size. For women, it is not necessarily the first choice, but it is possible. You will therefore need to be experienced enough to handle the carbon densities of the Viper models. However, the Air Viper remains a fairly light racket (between 355 and 365g) and could suit women well.
