Padel returns to the French capital with the Alpine Paris Major Premier Padel 2026!
One of the most prestigious events on the international calendar from 6 to 13 September 2026. Held in the most iconic stadium, Roland-Garros, this Major-category tournament brings together every year the best male and female players in the world in an exceptional frame.
For its fifth consecutive edition at Roland-Garros, the Alpine Paris Major confirms one thing above all: padel continues to take an increasingly important place in the French sporting landscape. Porte d'Auteuil thus becomes the meeting point for the circuit's stars, the best French players and thousands of enthusiasts who have come to attend one of the year's biggest padel events.
An elite tournament at the heart of Roland-Garros
The Alpine Paris Major Premier Padel is one of the four Major-category tournaments on the Premier Padel circuit, alongside the other major international events.
At stake for the winners: 2,000 FIP ranking points. Suffice to say that every match counts when it comes to competing for the top spots in the world!
As since the creation of the Paris tournament, matches take place in the iconic frame of Roland-Garros stadium, including a centre court installed on Philippe-Chatrier court. The iconic venue of French tennis is thus transformed for several days into a true temple of padel.
The festivities began on Sunday 6 September, which was dedicated to the launch of the event and the qualifiers, while the main draw runs from Monday 7 to Sunday 13 September.
The French will be there
The 2026 edition once again gives an important place to French players.
Several French pairs have received wild cards to enter the main draw directly.
In the men's draw, Dylan Guichard / Clément Geens, Timéo Fonteny / Nacho Moragues Molto and Yoan Boronad / Jérémy Robert notably received a wild card.
In the women's draw, Louise Bahurel / Ivet Val Lopez and Carla Touly / Xenia Clasca Vidiella also secured their place in the final draw.
In the women's draw, Alix Collombon, partnered with Ksenia Sharifova, is also among France's leading hopes and will face the Spaniards Marta Arellano and Marina Lobo in the first Tour.

Thomas Leygue is already making history
The 2026 edition began with a highlight for French padel.
Partnered with Spaniard Jesús Moya, Thomas Leygue won his first qualifying match against Ferran Insa Sotillo and Miguel Lamperti with a score of 6-1, 6-3.
For the Frenchman, this return to Roland-Garros was particularly symbolic after his long absence due to a serious Achilles tendon injury.
The world's stars arrive in Paris
As every year, the Alpine Paris Major brings together an impressive share of the world's padel elite.
In the men's draw, spectators can notably see the leading figures of world padel such as Arturo Coello, Agustín Tapia, Alejandro Galán, Federico Chingotto as well as the other top pairs in the international rankings.
In the women's draw, the circuit's best players will also be there, including Gemma Triay, Delfi Brea, Ariana Sánchez, Paula Josemaría and the new generations gradually shaking up the world hierarchy.
The 2025 edition was notably marked by the victory of Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia in the men's draw, while Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea won the women's draw.
A decisive tournament for the world rankings
The Alpine Paris Major is not just a spectacular event: it is also a crucial stage for players competing for the world rankings.
Like all Major tournaments on the Premier Padel circuit, the Paris event awards 2,000 FIP points to the winners. These points can therefore have a major influence on the world rankings and the race for the Premier Padel Finals.
At this level of competition, every match can therefore have significant consequences for the end of the season!
A week of padel… but also entertainment!
The Alpine Paris Major is not just a succession of very high-level matches. The event offers a genuine padel experience, with entertainment, introductory sessions and various areas allowing visitors to fully enjoy the tournament atmosphere.
An event supported by the FFT, the FIP and Premier Padel, featuring 26 official tournaments across 18 countries.
It is organised by the French Tennis Federation, in collaboration with Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) and under the governance of the International Padel Federation (FIP).
With around thirty tournaments organised around the world and four Major-category events, Premier Padel is now the pinnacle of professional competition.
The Padel Festival kicks off the festivities!
Even before the start of the main draw, Roland-Garros hosted the Padel Festival on Sunday 6 September to launch this major week of competition.
This day was designed to make the tournament accessible to an even wider audience. Spectators can watch the qualifiers while enjoying entertainment, introductory sessions and various padel-related activities. Like padel, the opportunity is open to all families!
The aim is clear: to introduce the discipline to as many people as possible and take advantage of the Alpine Paris Major to celebrate the growth of padel in France.
Beyond the very highest-level matches, the Alpine Paris Major offers a genuine experience centred around sport and entertainment.

The “Dream Entrance” initiative
The 2026 edition also renews the “Dream Entrance” initiative, allowing young licence holders to experience the final stages up close with the champions.
During the final weekend, selected children can accompany the players as they enter the court, take part in the toss and capture the moment with a photo at the net.
In total, 24 children from 12 clubs will benefit from this privileged experience during the semi-finals and finals.
A wonderful initiative to bring younger generations closer to the world's best players… and perhaps inspire some future vocations!

• Monday 7 September: end of the qualifiers and start of the main draw (first Tour from 12pm)
• Tuesday 8 September: continuation of the main draw with the first Tour (from 12pm)
• Wednesday 9 September: second Tour (from 11am)
• Thursday 10 September: round of 16 (from 12pm)
• Friday 11 September: quarter-finals (from 1pm)
• Saturday 12 September: semi-finals
• Sunday 13 September: finals
The final weekend will be the highlight of this week of competition, with the semi-finals and finals of the men's and women's draws.
