raquette padel starvie espagne 2022
Summary

With so many emerging padel brands offering increasingly high-performance equipment, Starvie has decided to redesign 3 rackets from its collection, giving the premium range a fresh look. Everything else remains unchanged: the proven 2021 collection still offers quality rackets for all playing styles. Here’s a closer look at a lesser-known but highly effective brand.

It’s also worth noting that all Starvie rackets are made in Spain, at the workshop in Azuqueca de Henares, not far from Madrid. This local production preserves the brand’s longstanding expertise while maintaining a close connection between its products and customers.

Rackets relaunched for 2022: the premium range

Starvie Astrum Eris: Bea Gonzalez’s racket!

Young padel star Bea Gonzalez gets a new racket this year: the Astrum Eris, one of the rackets Starvie has redesigned for this season. With a new carbon 3k face over a layer of fibreglass, this racket is designed to be manoeuvrable and offer maximum control, matching Bea’s playing style.

Starvie Raptor Evolution: aggression under control

Starvie strives to offer rackets for every type of player and playing style. Unlike the Astrum, the Raptor has a more aggressive, powerful character thanks to its Full Plane Effect surface, which also enhances spin. Despite its decidedly attacking nature, it retains a round shape to provide the control and manoeuvrability that make it such a versatile racket.

Starvie Metheora Warrior: Almost perfect balance

Sitting between the previous two rackets is the Metheora Warrior, a balanced racket that, like the others, has a round shape and carbon 3k on its faces. But unlike the Astrum, this padel racket is heavier, adding bite to point-winning shots. Used by Mati Diaz, a regular at major WPT tournaments, it delivers maximum control and precision without sacrificing the ability to attack when needed.

Universe range: the whole world of padel for you

Starvie Basalto Osiris: Balanced in every situation

To open this range, let’s introduce the Basalto Osiris, a little gem of balance. Thanks to its teardrop shape and soft EVA foam, the racket feels soft and comfortable on impact with the ball, while the weight in the middle to upper part of the racket adds just the right amount of power. The racket is also made with carbon and basalt (hence its name), making it much more durable while adding playing comfort.

Starvie Triton and Triton Pro: the explosive twins

Different rackets, different features: this time, the focus is on power. Made from carbon fibres, the standard Triton has a teardrop shape and offers a particularly interesting balance thanks to Star Balance technology, which centres the racket’s weight around the central star, the brand’s logo. Eva Soft foam tempers the power by providing a much more comfortable ball release. Its sibling, the Triton Pro, is focused almost exclusively on power. The main difference is the foam, which changes from Soft Eva to Hard Eva for even more explosiveness when finishing points. You’ll need experience to master this potentially devastating racket.

Starvie Dronos Galaxy: making padel easier

The final racket in this range, the Dronos Galaxy, is certainly the easiest to handle. Its frame combines carbon with aluminium, increasing its durability and the racket’s rigidity for better precision. Fairly light, it allows everyone, men and women alike, to use it and get the best out of it. Full Plane Effect technology also adds a 3D texture to enhance spin and catch your opponents off guard.

Star range: aim for the stars

Starvie Aquila Space and Aquila Space Pro: Accessibility and control

Like the Triton, the Aquila comes in 2 models to suit your playing style: the Aquila and the Aquila Pro. With its teardrop shape, the standard Aquila gives you maximum control over your opponent’s balls. A little more accessible than the Triton, it is forgiving enough for players who want to improve with confidence. Its Soft Eva foam helps deliver excellent precision. For players who want a little more punch in their shots, the Aquila Pro offers the same features as its sibling, with just one change: denser and therefore firmer foam. If you want to finish points with more force, the Pro may be the one to choose.

Starvie Titania Kepler and Titania Kepler Pro: Manoeuvrability first

In its mid-range line-up, the Spanish brand Starvie offers a racket focused on control and manoeuvrability, with a Pro version for a little more power. The round shape and Soft Eva foam help limit vibrations (and therefore elbow injuries) while maximising ball control and precision. Its light weight makes it easy for everyone to use comfortably. The Pro version has slightly denser foam to add a little extra power to your shots.

Discover range: Discover and enjoy padel

In its most accessible range, Starvie offers 4 rackets with broadly similar features. Let’s take a closer look at 2 of them.

Starvie Spika: bringing carbon to beginners

We start this range with a racket unlike the others: the Spika. Its standout feature is that the frame and faces are made from carbon fibre for added rigidity, nicely balancing the control provided by its round shape and Soft Eva foam. Rare for a racket in this range, carbon is harder to handle than fibreglass, especially for beginners. You’ll need some experience to master this racket, but it will reward you if you use it well.

Starvie Arcadia: get off to a great start

By contrast, the Arcadia is ideal for beginners, with fibreglass faces that guarantee complete control over the balls. Low-density foam and a light weight of between 350 and 360 grams also make it comfortable to play with. Like the other padel rackets in the range, the Arcadia has a round shape to provide the forgiveness and manoeuvrability beginners’ rackets need.

The other 2 rackets in the range, the Vesta and the Icarus, are also available on our Esprit Padel Shop website. Click their names to view their product pages.

As you’ll have noticed, the Starvie catalogue is packed with rackets for every budget and skill level. Despite the lack of rackets focused on power, the Spanish brand still offers a wide choice of varied padel rackets. Find them all on Esprit Padel Shop, along with their product pages.
